Before the auto accident in 1975, I wanted structure and obtained it with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Mathematics, from SUNY – Oswego (1970) in Oswego, NY.
Probing the theory underlying acupuncuture drew me to the School of Philosophy and Healing in Action (S.O.P.H.I.A.) (1988) at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, MD.
Becoming a student, client and practitioner of acupuncture in Maryland, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington State, Sri Lanka and France (1985 – 1993), I honed my skills in Oriental healing.
My academic training culminated in a Ph.D. from the Open International University for Complementary Medicines in 1989. The focus was the strategic integration of personal health systems through the understanding of complementary medicines.
In 1989, I was ordained in the Sanctuary of the Beloved, an international, non-denominational church without walls, based in Rochester, NY.
In 1995, I was ordained into a local church, the Aesklepeon of Light, based in Seattle, WA.
I developed skills as a practitioner of Whole System Design, by receiving my M.A. from Antioch University – West (1995 – 1997) in Seattle, WA. This expanded the arena for my healing.
In 2001, I became a Certified Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and followed this with certification as a Self-Help Instructor in 2002.
Now, all of the pieces are in place for me to serve Life, in multiple contexts and venues. Specifically, I focus on personal growth and development through practicing a variation of the many skills that I have gained.
